I Remember Wellfleet- Virtual Event

  • Wellfleet Public Library 55 West MAin Street Wellfleet, MA 02667 United States (map)

Join the Wellfleet Historical Society and Museum for a trip into the memories of those who live for sand between their toes and salt spray in their face. Whether a lifelong resident or recent convert, personal stories add to the historical record of this enchanting town. Think of a favorite person or event, beach or walking trail, store, restaurant or inspiring vista.

Sit back to listen or join in the conversation.

This is the third installment of "I Remember . . . " hosted by the Wellfleet Library.  The conversation will start with two long-celebrated events - the Strawberry Festival and 4th of July Parade. Plus a look back at the incredible life of Richmond Bell, a favorite son and war veteran renown.

Historical Society President Dwight Estey will start the conversation and Wellfleet Library director Jennifer Wertkin will moderate. But it is you, those who "remember Wellfleet" that are the story. Please join us for this look back at a special town, made so by the unique landscape and memorable people from this fragile spit of sand. To attend, please RSVP Jennifer Wertkin at jennifer.wertkin@wellfleet-ma.gov.
