A great annotated compilation of the best of the web based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Libraries. New lists published every Friday, archives freely available. Headings easy to navigate, but there is so much information here it can be distracting.

MIT OpenCourseWare makes the materials used in the teaching of substantially all of MIT's undergraduate and graduate courses—more than 2,000 in all—available on the Web, free of charge, to any user in the world.
This site is an easy to use search for any published WebQuests. WebQuests are websites that have been made by teachers and students about a topic-any topic-to teach more about it. Simply type in the topic you’d like to learn about and a list of all the WebQuests available on that topic appear with the title and grade level.

The summer before 3rd grade, my friend Julia’s dad died. He was biking and his foot got caught. He didn’t notice, not soon enough, anyway. He started peddling with his other foot, thus getting thrown off his bike. A car was coming. It hit Dino. He went. Gone. Lost in maze of darkness, never coming out, no exit, all dead-ends. When Julia found out, I suspect she felt exactly like that, all reason to live sucked up.
