Computer Use at the Library: The Library provides wireless access through an open network. Patrons can access the wireless on their laptops and mobile devices inside and immediately outside the library. Ethernet cords and 8 ports are also available.
The Library has 13 computers for public use in the adult area, 4 laptops children can use under the supervision of our Youth Services Librarian or a parent, two computers in the Teen Room reserved for use by teenagers, and two laptops also reserved for teenagers. Laptops require a valid library card and must be checked out from the circulation desk for use within the library.
All computers have high-speed internet access. Patrons may sign up in person or by telephone (508-349-0310) for 30-minute time slots on eight of the internet computers in the adult area.
Patrons can sign up one day in advance. The other computers have time limits of 15 minutes, have no sign-ups and patrons wait their turn for these computers. Should a Patron need longer than 30 minutes for needs other than general email, special arrangements can be made through the Library Director.
11 of the computers are attached to both color and black and white laser printers. 8 are linked to a scanner.
There are also three computers reserved exclusively for searching the CLAMS catalog.
Printing charges are 10 cents per page or 15 cents per page for double sided copies.
