This is a book about a girl who doesn't want to go to her grandparents' house because her grandfather is very grumpy all of the time. Since her parents are going to Ohio, she has no choice. When she arrives, she finds her grandmother in the doorway. Her grandmother is kind, but her grandfather is only kind for fifteen seconds at a time. When Samantha notices that her grandfather is being a bit sneaky, she tries to find out what he is doing.And then the story changes and Samantha does too!
I would recommend looking for this book and others by the same author because she is a good description writer. She uses similes, too.
