OpenCape is a not-for-profit organization led by CEO Dan Gallagher. Mr. Gallagher will outline OpenCape’s construction progress to date and its relationship with its selected operating entity, CapeNet. Dan will also discuss the types of services expected to use OpenCape’s backbone, including robust backup for emergency services communications; high speed Internet connections with anchor institutions such as town halls, schools, and libraries; a regional municipal network for shared and centrally located municipal services; and commercial opportunities.
Cristian Paul Patapie provides IT support to the Town of Wellfleet and also maintains a private consulting practice on the Lower Cape. Cristian will be available to add his “Wellfleet centric” thoughts about how Wellfleet might best utilize this opportunity.
