Directions
The Library is located approximately 1/2 mile from Route 6. Turn off Route
6 onto Main Street at the traffic light. Follow Main Street through the
center of the village past the Town Hall and the shops. The Library is
on the left with parking adjacent to the building and also in an overflow
lot beyond the building off Howland Lane. There is reserved handicapped
parking and wheelchair access through the Howland Lane garden entrance.

The
Wellfleet Public Library is pleased to report that the Friends
of the Wellfleet Public Libraries have announced that the author,
Dr. Drew Gilpin Faust, President of Harvard University, will be their
Distinguished Speaker this year. She will speak on Thursday, July
17 at the Wellfleet Congregational Church. Tickets will be available
at the library in June.

Info on Computer Use at the Wellfleet Public Library
The Library provides wireless access through an open network. The
Wellfleet Public Library also has 10 computers for public use in
the adult area, 4 laptops children can use under the supervision
of our Youth Services Librarian or a parent, and two computers in
the Teen Room reserved for use by teenagers.
All computers
have high-speed internet access. Patrons may sign up
in person or by telephone for 30-minute time slots
on five of the internet computers in the adult area.
You can sign up one day in advance. 508-349-0310. The
other five computers have time limits of 15 minutes.
Patrons wait their turn for the 15 minutes computers;
there is no sign up. Patrons
needing longer than 30 minutes for needs other than
general email can make special arrangements with the
Library Director.
Eight
of the computers are attached to a black & white laser
printer and an ink jet color printer. Printing charges
are 10 cents per page. Two 15 minute express laptops
are not networked to a printer.
There
are also three computers that are used for CLAMS catalog
searching only. |

Ground: A Naturalist's Cape Cod by Robert Finch. New
members are encouraged to attend! If you are interested, please
pick up a copy of the book at the library's front desk and come
ready for a fun discussion on the 19th.
Common
Ground contains "selected essays that document one man's
impassioned, informed, and inquisitive encounters with the natural
world" on
Cape Cod. The book is a must-read for anyone living on the Cape
and will surely give you a new-found appreciation for its natural
